In cooperation with the industry cluster Sustainable Autonomous Mobility Systems (SAMS), the NIBIO CPA organized a workshop on agriculture, technology and automation. Participants from several companies, researchers from the CPA and farmers took part in the workshop in order to identify potential challenges where automation could solve challenges currently faced by Norwegian farmers. The workshop consisted of three sessions. The first one was an introduction to Norwegian farming in general and to the projects and work done at the NIBIO CPA. In the second session three farmers presented their productions and the challenges they faced. Finally, the participants discussed how these challenges could be met by using new technology and automation.
